Driving Change Through Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Golf Day

Firstmac was proud to support the Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Golf Day as part of our Impact Partnership, helping raise vital funds that enable families to stay together while their children undergo life-changing medical treatment. 

The event brought together 18 teams committed to making a difference for families facing some of life's toughest challenges. Firstmac was represented by a team of four staff members, who experienced firsthand the enthusiasm and generosity of participants throughout the day. 

Adding to the fun, Jasmine from Golfer Girl Australia joined us at the Firstmac-sponsored hole, offering golfers the opportunity to donate directly to Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland in exchange for having Jasmine take their drive shot. The initiative was a huge success; it quickly became one of the highlights of the day and helped raise $2,200 for the charity.  

Importantly, proceeds from the day will help fund accommodation and care programs that ensure families can remain close to their child while they receive treatment. In fact, a single team registration provides more than nine nights of accommodation for a family in need, helping them stay close, supported and cared for during their healthcare journey. 

It was an inspiring day that highlighted the power of community, generosity and partnerships in creating meaningful outcomes for families when they need support the most.
