Firstmac Helps Brighten Birthdays with Camp Quality

We recently welcomed Camp Quality to our office for a special birthday card writing session, helping bring smiles to children facing cancer. Throughout the session, staff came together to write heartfelt messages and design personalised birthday cards for children supported by Camp Quality. With creativity and care in mind, the team created an impressive 185 personalised cards, each designed to help a child feel celebrated and remembered on their special day. A birthday can look very different for a child undergoing cancer treatment, and these cards provide a simple but meaningful way to spread positivity and joy. 

Firstmac team member, Kerry, shared: 

 “I really enjoyed being part of the day and supporting such a meaningful cause. Watching the videos and hearing the children's stories was incredibly moving. It was inspiring to see the positive impact Camp Quality has on children and their families through the support, connection and memorable experiences they provide during difficult times. 

The day was especially meaningful to me because I have seen firsthand the difference Camp Quality can make. A cousin of mine went through cancer treatment, and her daughter attended Camp Quality programs. Seeing the support, positivity, and sense of community they provided to her family during that time gave me a deep appreciation for the work they do. 

The day was a great reminder that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact, and I was grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important organisation.”
