Baking a Difference with Ronald McDonald House Charities SEQ
Firstmac staff baked meals and treats to support families of seriously ill children staying at RMHC SEQ.
For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities SEQ has provided vital support to seriously ill children and their families. Recently, 12 of our staff took part in a Baking a Difference event at the House, where we prepared curry, sausage rolls, cookies, and muffins. The goal was to bring comfort and a touch of joy to families staying close to their children while they receive hospital care.
Why do we support them?
We’re proud to support RMHC SEQ, a charity organisation who helps families stay together and resilient during the most difficult time of their lives. RMHC SEQ does this by providing a home away from home for families with hospitalised children, a quiet space at treatment centres and education support for the children.
How you can help?
RHMC SEQ accommodates up to 148 families each night. You can help support the families by making a monetary or goods donation, hosting a fundraiser event, or volunteering. Your support allows RMHC SEQ to keep their doors open to those in need all year round.
